Shraenire and his party seemed to have everything going for them but when their friendship was in turmoil they were not strong enough to best Asmodeus. After Scoriach, Herea, Noctas, and Nao' Te were killed by Asmodeus, Shraenire fell to his coercion and was turned into a demon.

Finally Shraenire and the rest of the party reached Asmodeus's lair after much inner turmoil. In their fighting they were weakened when they finally reached the devil himself, Asmodeus killed Scoriach, Herea, Noctas, and Nao' Te leaving only Shraenire remaining. In his despair and anger Shraenire fell to Asmodeus's trickery and accepted his power turning into a horrifically evil demon of shadow and turmoil.
