The Drop sewers

Many sewers in Laeriss work by pouring waste out of holes in the sewer where they fall down to the core, being sterilized and turned to dust then sent back into the atmosphere. Many of them use systems to catch the waste and dispose of as little water as possible.

It is used by... excreting into a hole which leads down into the drop sewer.

Manufacturing

Most drop sewers are made by stone at a slight angle to make the water flow, sometimes enchantments are cast to make it flow faster.

Inventor(s)

Kemler was the first place to put this into effect due to how far they were from the edge of the continent. Many people in the infrastructure business had to work together to make the drop sewers.

Access & Availability

It is very common among those living in the major cities, some of the very poor neighborhoods do not have sewer pipes running through them.

Complexity

It is fairly simple, all that is required is pipes and flowing water.

Discovery

When the split happened and the continents were raised in the sky people had trouble properly disposing of their waste and sewers had to go too far to outlet sewage, so holes were built to dispose of the sewage and on top of that people realized that it was safer than dumping it into the water.
