Pinkdust capsule

Pinkdust capsules are a technology devised by one of the ancient alchemists of Kemler in order to defend the city from attackers. The recipe to create pinkdust is a secret of the royal alchemists and is prohibited to sell to any non-military affiliated people. Of course much like any illegal thing, shady pinkdust sellers still reside in and out of the city. When something with a pinkdust capsule, like an arrow or cannon ball, breaks open the pinkdust spreads all over the area and lingers in the air, having a variety of effects on those who get near it. Dark pinkdust, which is a dark red color, melts away skin like acid, it also softens armor for a time until it can be carefully wiped off. Vivid pinkdust is bright carmine red, it is extremely flammable and reacts with skin oil. Dull pinkdust is a washed out pink color, it slowly poisons all of a foes internal organs by entering through any part of the body, though it acts faster when inhaled. Light pinkdust is a very pale light pink color, it causes one to fall asleep. Fuchsia pinkdust causes the person who inhales it to experience fast-acting paralysis. And classic pinkdust blinds, deafens, and mutes one who gets it in their eyes, ears, and mouths, even for a while after they leave the area. Those who manage to steal or find some pinkdust capsules are usually quite dangerous as pinkdust can completely incapacitate or badly weaken its enemies.

Utility

It was discovered by the sixth royal alchemist of Kemler when they were experimenting with how to create a new type of gunpowder in order to protect the, at that time, small town of Kemler from a tribe of Goblins living out on the fields. Of course while it is technically illegal to sell pinkdust, a lot of pinkdust capsules end up in the back alleys of Kemler.

Manufacturing

The manufacturing process of pinkdust capsules is a closely guarded secret, you may try to reproduce the powerful technology but most likely you will fail and/or die trying. It is said though that evocation and transmutation magic have been detected in the tower of the royal alchemist, as well as some sort of enchanted machines, though how exactly it all works or the components required is completely unknown.

Inventor(s)

The original inventor of pinkdust was the sixth royal alchemist of Kemler. At that time just the town alchemist since Kemler was very small back then. They devised pinkdust in order to protect Kemler, as advised by the "king" at that time, they resolved to pass down the recipe as a town alchemist's secret.

Access & Availability

Pinkdust is not produced anywhere else than in the city of Kemler, it is a secret of the royal alchemists who craft it for the city guard, though sometimes pinkdust ends up in the hands of the commoners.

Pinkdust capsules have a complex and intricate alchemical formula, a combination of transmutation magic, evocation magic, and science must be used in order to produce the many unique effects found within different varieties of the dust.

Discovery

Pinkdust was discovered around the year 2421 by an alchemist residing in Kemler, ever since that discovery the city of Kemler has used pinkdust capsules to defend its walls for thousands of years.
