Luma

Luma is the original moon of Laeriss. It has existed for billions of years alongside Laeriss itself and is connected to the god of souls and the afterlife, Ludasa. Some say that the patterns on Luma appear like a seven pronged star, it is believed that when the full seven pronged star pattern of Luma becomes visible at once it is good luck, people will accomplish as much as possible while the pattern is showing in the hopes that the end result of their work will be better. It is taught to the followers of Ludasa that that when souls must be taken to the afterlife, they leave the material plane once they have traveled past the orbital ring of Luma. The power of Ludasa is said to be infused into Luma, weakening the barrier between planes wherever it passes. Legends say Luma was created by Ludasa directly after the splitting of Vallusios into the other gods. She used the free flowing chaotic energy coursing through the universe to form the new moon and put it in orbit around Laeriss to act as a planar barrier.

Geography

The surface of Luma is rough covered with craters, gashes, and the like. Seven giant gashes in the surface of the moon create the infamous seven-pronged star pattern on its surface. It is said that every time a soul is brought out of the prime material plane Luma shines a tiny bit brighter for less than a second, showing the presence Ludasa to the people of Laeriss.
