Aton Outer Bridal Dress

Traditionally, the bridal dresses of aton women have two layers. The inner layer is made in whatever style the bride would like, often covered in embroidery or jewels, meant to be stunning. The outer layer is made to hide the inner layer, appearing plain and often even unappealling to look at.
Once the bride arrives before her groom, the groom will easily rip off the outer layer, as it is made to be easy to destroy. If marrying another woman, the brides will despose of each other's outer layers. This will reveal their true bridal dress.
It is thought that this is symbolizing that the true beauty of the bride rests inside. Others argue that this has more to do with sneaking the brides into temples to be married without being spotted as brides before it is to late to stop the wedding.
