Boghaven

General Information

The eastern border of Mitlind is populated by wetlands and swamps. Due to this, the area experiences unusually high levels of humidity and rainfall. However, despite the majority of the water coming from the swamp, Boghaven's main city structure is built around a swirling stream of fresh water that leads in from other pools.

Demographics

The Boghaven Frogfolk

Boghaven is predominantly populated by a community of Frogfolk. These beings all serve the master of the wetlands and Lord of Boghaven, King Toad. However, due to King Toad's large size, a delegate is sent to Mitlind's parliamentary meetings.

The Shardclaw and Grimtooth

Since Boghaven sits on the Mitlind-Morris Cove border, the lizardfolk clans of the Shardclaw Jungle and Grimtooth Marshlands often visit their frog-like cousins and the master of the wetlands.

The World Worship

Those who live in Boghaven often end up giving praise to The World as they thank them for the bountiful nd endless supply of fresh water that their city is built around and upon. Even King Toad will offer prayers and reverence to The World in order to maintain the peaceful way of life those in the wetlands have enjoyed.

Geography

Boghaven itself is built atop a large swirling pool of fresh water, with many of its core structures resting atop the small islands within the pool or the bridges that connect the islands together.
This pool will swirl at different rates based on the weather, experiencing a greater churning during heavy rain and slowing to a gentle stillness during particularly dry periods.
