Yari-class skyship

The preferred small craft of most militaries is a bit slower than the Katana-class ship and requires an additional crewmember, but it adds a lightning gun on a mobile mount for the gunner to use, and the gunner can also take over if the pilot is incapacitated. Though the cabin is roughly the size of the Arrow, two pods extend behind the vessel, allowing the Yari to move a squad of soldiers in a pinch, or to transport a reasonable amount of cargo. The vessel isn't typically used for long-term missions, but with only a few modifications the same pods can become spartan living quarters. The versatility of this craft is its biggest draw.
A fixed magicannon sits underneath, as is standard with most of these craft, and the lightning gun sits on top. The pilot and gunner both remain seated, an unusual feature for small craft but one which soldiers appreciate. The skyship can move up to 60 mph when not in combat. The armored pods in back serve to reinforce the vessel's prana buoyancy, eliminating any dependency on sails.
