Ono-class skyship

Easily the most heavily armed and armored of the smaller skyships, Ono-class craft were built for assault. Eschewing the symmetry common in skyships, the Ono looks like its namesake, with a small cabin to the side of the vessel for a pilot and gunner while the power core sits squarely in the middle of the craft surrounded by thick armor. The pilot has access to a magicannon mounted beneath them, while the gunner operates a lightning cannon sitting above the engine, and has access to alchemical incendiary bombs on the far side of the vessel. This precaution has saved the lives of countless pilots, as the incendiaries can be hit without destroying the engine or harming the crew. The Ono looks like an axe flying on its side with a bulge in the middle, making it clear why it received the name.
Though its armor and armament are impressive, the Ono has some minor drawbacks. A semicircular sail can be extended from behind the engine, but it's not terribly effective, limiting the vessel's capability in low-prana areas. The Ono also moves at a comparatively ponderous 40 mph when not engaged in combat, and between the low speed and trouble in prana-poor areas, most commanders reserve the Ono for defense around geomantically suitable cities or for raids against apporaching attackers. The incendiaries the Ono carries make it ideal for destroying sea vessels, and has earned them the nickname 'dragons'.
