Katana-class skyship

Probably the most popular small skyship overall, the Katana offers its pilot and small handful of passengers a modicum of living space and decent protection from pirates or the elements. The hull measures roughly fifty feet in length, and the designers placed the power core in the nose of the craft to stymie raiders who tried taking out the rears of vessels. One fixed magicannon is placed directly beneath the power core, and the wheelhouse sits far enough back to prevent any damage to the pilot if the power core overloads. Behind the wheelhouse sits the small cabin, big enough for a bunk bed and cramped table, but the Katana offers a more comfortable ride for three or four individuals than most small craft and can be downright comfortable for a lone pilot.
The bulkier cabin section is flanked by two armored struts that can produce sails for travel in low-prana areas. Though the sails are vulnerable (as they always are), the struts provide reasonable protection when they're retracted, and the craft is small enough that the sails are rarely needed. This edge allows Katana pilots to fly anywhere in the world, though sometimes they're more vulnerable than others. The maximum speed of the vessel outside of combat is around 80 mph.
