Kysthrone

Welcome to Kysthrone! An anachronistic high fantasy, non-imperialist, non-queerphobic, body-positive, non-bigoted, anti-capitalist, post-scarcity extremely queer setting with as little or as much romance and lovemaking as the table wants!   Have complex geo-politics canonically been solved and a civil war prevented by the PCs organising an orgy? Yes.

Did a Band of (mostly) Ace Pirates canonically fight back against the likes of capitalists and imperialists who dared to sully this fair gay land? Also yes.   Kysthrone consists of seven nations: Eldaliearan, Inwisfa, Orodrasse, Iqistabaisetilphen, Anthrosapia, the subaquatic Kelmpmelmp, and the nomadic Gilriany. This webiste is meant to provide a detailed overview of each of their peoples' history, demographics, relationship to queerness, politics, and their greater context in the world.   The setting of Kysthrone is inspired very much by Thirsty Sword Lesbians and queer apocalyptica. Kysthrone has been established and fleshed out over a few prior one-shots, and some of the different nations having their origins as a setting I spun up pretty much on the spot for a one-shot and it has grown, expanded and evolved dramatically into this mostly fleshed out realm.   I've respected as much of the established lore from one-shots and games as possible, only throwing out whatever doesn’t pass the vibe check. Admittedly, most of the canonical lore prior to has only existed in my head and in scattered notes, not all of which has been written up (yet).

New cannon is established with each new game and what the players and the DM say is cannon at the table can retcon pre-established canon.

Keep in mind as you read, the entire point of this setting is anyone can belong to any nation while proudly holding any identities they fucking desire, love whoever the fuck they want, fuck whoever the fuck consents, and dress/present however the fuck they please. This lore doc is a zoomed-out overview of what it looks like for that the different dominant majority of each nations and/ot parts of society, and zoom-outs often lose sight of the nuance and minority by definition.   So please!
