Night Encounters - Desert
Night Desert 1

Night Desert 2
DC 16A group of shadows slink low across the starlit dunes. If unnoticed, 2d4+2 Bandit Captains spring out of the shadows to surround the sleeping party.

Night Desert 4
DC 14strange dust devils whip up in the distance and begin snaking their way towards camp. If no action is taken 2d4+3 Dust Mephits whirl into camp and attack the sleeping characters looking to cause violent mischief.
Night Desert 5
DC13There are strange rocks in the distance. When next glanced, they may appear to be closer than before. If the character keeping watch doesn't take note of them, then 1d4+2 camoflauged Lizardfolk will suddenly spring out of their rock scaled disguises and attack the party from all sides.
Night Desert 6
DC12A single massive raven flies low over the sandy expanse. As it veers away from the camp, a keen ear can hear it mutter to itself in a vaguely familiar feminine voice "Not ripe at all", before continuing to glide away.
Night Desert 7
DC 10The wind kicks up some sand revealing a lone glass bottle. Inside is a cloudy, swirling orange liquid. The faded label reads "...otio...f W...". A DC 15 Investigation check can deduce from the other remnant labels that the name should read "Potion of War".
Night Desert 8
DC 9A desert fox stalks nearby, looking for scorpions and lizards. It takes a wide arc around the camp, staying just out of the light.
Night Desert 9
DC 8A desert snake pursues a spider, shifting the sand as they pass.
Night Plains 10
DC 7A small creature approaches the camp, quickly at first, then slowing. It's a Jackelope! They do exist!
