Dinosaur Laser Fight
It was an ordinary day at Dinosaur High...Once a year (allegedly) the high school hosts a mock combat event open to students, their families, and anyone else in town who wishes to participate. The even is held 1-2 days after the PCs first hear about it from the Animation and Reanimation teacher, Professor Ego Raptor, an Aaracokra male who is purportedly good friends with the mayor.
The Rules
After watching a brief historical video narrated by the mayor himself participants are given the rules:- Participants must start in a named room on either floor (see maps) but not in a restroom
- No melee attacks or offensive spells can be made during the duration
- Any attacks must be made with the provided laser weapons
- If you get hit 5 times, you're out. You will be teleported to the cafeteria to wait for the game to end (snacks and juice provided by the faculty)
- To win, make physical contact with the dais on the stage for a continuous 30 second (5 rounds of combat) or be the last one in the game
- Laser Bow ( + Dex mod to hit)
- Laser Wand ( + Wis mod to hit)
- Laser Shield (+ Str mod to reflect as a reaction)
The Prizes
The winner of the event gets two prizes;- A "replica" key to the East Tower, which is really just half of the real key
- Chekov's Bowgun
