Scales of Kaelthar
These thick, fossil-like scales were torn from the mutated body of Kaelthar, the Bonehunter Alpha. Each scale is roughly the size of a human hand and bears the warped imprint of the primal forces that shaped him. The outer layer is matte black with subtle striations of volcanic gray, while the undersides shimmer faintly with amber undertones—evidence of the dark ichor that once pulsed through Kaelthar’s grafted form.
When held, the scales feel unnaturally warm, as if still clinging to the body heat of their former master. They are impossibly tough yet strangely light, and when struck together, they produce a low, bone-like thrum, reminiscent of a predator's growl deep in the throat.
Though they hold no magical power on their own, skilled crafters and enchanters can use them to forge items imbued with primal ferocity and monstrous resilience. These scales would highly sought by hunters, tribal shamans, and boneforgers, especially those who work with beast-harvested materials or practice saurian rites.
