Description:
A tattered leather satchel stitched with ligaments and sinew, the Boneharvesting Toolkit clinks faintly with an assortment of obsidian scalpels, ivory saws, bone needles, and thread spun from the hair of jungle dead. Carefully organized among bundles of dried herbs, necrotic poultices, and dark salves, each instrument bears faint etchings of cursed runes and primitive jungle symbols, used to draw out the spirit of a limb before it's replaced.
The satchel is stained with dried ichor and smears of jungle moss, and a faint medicinal rot lingers within. The tools within are unnaturally sharp and unnervingly clean—some say they hum when held near living flesh.
Carried only by Boneharvesters and their cursed surgeons, these kits are the keys to transforming flesh into monstrosity, bridging the realms of medicine and forbidden magic.
Effects:
While you possess the Boneharvesting Toolkit:
You gain Proficiency with the toolkit, which applies to any Medicine, Arcana, or Healing (Wisdom-based) check made for:
- Harvesting graft components
- Attaching or removing grafts
- Stabilizing a subject mid-grafting
- Crafting necrotic salves, cursed ink, or talismans
- When you use the toolkit, you can reroll any natural 1 on a Medicine or Arcana check related to grafting, but you must take the new roll.
Special: If used in a ritual involving necrotic magic or curses, the toolkit counts as both a divine focus and arcane component pouch.
