Gnomes

A small humanoid race that traditionally worked underground alongside dwarves. Often seen as a secondary class of dwarf or in service to the dwarves, the gnomes felt as if they were indentured servants. In order to overcome their social stereotype and standing in the land, Gnomes switched from mining and smelting to inventing and engineering. Their natural curiosity lent itself to a proclivity with developing new technologies. This shift in societal expectations from manual labor to manufacturing ushered in a new found respect for the Gnome people.

Presently Gnomes have ingratiated themselves into Kurnst society as natural developers, engineers, and technology gurus which has provided them with a bevy of financial opportunities. Cities such as Fleuga have provided Gnomes with a bedrock to grow from. Cities around Kurnst have begun utilizing Gnomes to upgrade technology, weapons, and city development. Now Gnomes are seen as polite company or up and coming entrepreneurs, worthy of investment. Gnomes now aim to shift their public image once again, with this new found social standing, towards politics and city leadership.
