Fizban's

This shop of odd gadgets and gizmo's offers unique items. These unique and imaginative items are unique to any where else in the mainland and are hand crafted by the one and only Fizban.  

Gadgets:

  • Emerald Pen - This pen is tipped with an emerald nib and requires no ink to write. While holding this pen, you can cast illusory script at will, requiring no material components. (500 GP)
  • Rolly Shoes - These shoes are outfitted with wheels on them. The wearer gains a movement speed of 60ft but must make an Acrobatics check each turn to control them (DC 14). The wearer must use an action to pop their wheels in or out (500 GP).
  • Skippo - A small silver box that snaps open and casts a constant burning flame. This light provides 15ft of dim light and can remain lit for 3 hours. (500 GP)
  • Boobie Sticks - These red tubes are packed with a black powder that explodes after the charge is lit. The timer can range from 3-30 seconds. The explosive charges damage targets for 10D4 bludgeoning damage. They do double damage to structures. (350 GP)

 

Gizmos:

  • Blue Canary - A mechanical bird that flitters and flies around, occassionally resting on its master's shoulder. The bird can be instructed to search rooms ahead of the party. If the bird comes in contact with noxious gases it will pass out and fall to the floor. After being removed from the gas, the bird pops back to life and continues flying around. (750 GP)
  • Immovable Rod - A rod that's immovable (500 GP)
  • Wand of Test Balloons - With a successful slight of hand check, this wand makes a toot sound and smell within 30 ft of the caster. The recipient of this embarrasing experience has disadvantage on charisma checks for the next minute. (500 GP)

 

Whatchya Muhcallems:

  • Potion of Draconic Rebirth - You become a dragonborn. You replace the racial traits of your original race with the traits of a chromatic, gem, or metallic dragonborn (detailed in this book). The kind of dragonborn you become matches the family of the dragon that is the source of this gift. You can keep any skill proficiencies you gained from your previous race, or you gain proficiency in two skills of your choice. (2,000 GP)
  • Dragonhide Belt - This finely detailed belt is made of dragonhide. While wearing it, you gain a bonus to the saving throw DCs of your ki features. The bonus is determined by the belt’s rarity. In addition, you can use an action to regain ki points equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die. You can’t use this action again until the next dawn. (varies by level)
  • Saphire Buckler - This crystalline blue shield is fashioned from a sapphire dragon’s scale and is created to aid in rooting out the influence of Aberrations. While wielding the shield, you have resistance to psychic and thunder damage. Also, when you take damage from a creature that is within 5 feet of you, you can use your reaction to deal 2d6 thunder damage to that creature. As an action, you can use the shield to help you locate Aberrations until the end of your next turn. If any Aberrations are within 1 mile of you, the shield emits a low humming tone for a moment, and you know the direction of all Aberrations within that range. Once this property is used, it can’t be used again until the next dawn. (5,000 GP)
  • Crystal Blade - This magic sword’s blade is fashioned from a horn or spine from a crystal dragon. When you hit with an attack roll using this sword, the target takes an extra 1d8 radiant damage. The sword has 3 charges and regains 1d3 expended charges daily at dawn. When you hit a creature with an attack roll using the sword, you can expend 1 charge to regain a number of hit points equal to the extra radiant damage the sword dealt. While you’re holding the sword, you can use a bonus action to cause it to shed bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet, to cause it to shed dim light in a 10-foot radius, or to douse the light. (5,000 GP)

  • Pencil of Reputation - "This single use magical item causes instanteneous death (when used on a commoner) but that's not the magical thing about it. Once used from then on you're known as the person that killed a (insert creature here) with just a pencil.... a freaking pencil. Word will spread far and wide allowing you advantage on all intimidation checks ..." (1,000 GP).
  • Staff of Summoning Staff - "This magical staff brings forth 1D12 servants in their finest attire to service your every whim for the next 1d4 hours. Can't get the attention of the bartender, waiters, concierge, or management? These servants will take over the establishment with military precision." (3,000 GP)
  • Insta-Barrier Cheval de Frise - "Are you just sick and tired of leaving your flanks exposed to calvary attacks? This 5ft by 5ft series of speers erupts from this easy to carry stick. and it changes from just a word from the user." (300 GP)
  • Ointment of Mentholatum - "Are you tired of the overwhelming stench of creatures from depths of the dungeons forcing you to make constitution saving throws? Retching while combating a troll is a quick way to get seriously hurt or even killed. Just place a dab on your upper lip and soldier on. Those noxious fumes will be gone for 1D6 hours while you rid those stinkers." (100 GP)
