Feast of Flesh
The terrifying process of dedicating oneself to the The Queen of Decay or Lady of Rot. The ritual is both voluntary and involuntary, depending on the participants. Those that wish to dedicate themselves to the Lady of Rot must undergo the deadly ceremony voluntarily and provide several living sacrifices. The sacrifices are forced to ingest this nightmarish 'last meal' alongside their captors.
The feast includes five courses:
1) A large stein of bitter ale brewed from striped toadstool, served warm
2) A platter of boiled "id" moss. Boiling the moss slightly lowers the chances to survive the poison, and it enhances the vile taste.
3) A bowl of chilled soup made of slime mold and rotting mushrooms laced with "terinav" root (causing brain paralysis).
4) The main course consists of a single violet fungus tentacle glazed with various noxious molds and mildew.
5) Finally, dessert consists of a small stack of phycomid stalks served in a thick, bitter black syrup made from basidirond sap (causing hallucinations) and sprinkled with yellow mold spores.
Eventually the sacrificial participants either die from high levels of poison or simply die from starvation later, refusing to ever eat again.
After the feast, the prospective acolytes will have their appendages stitched to their sides and placed into a shallow grave. Prior to being buried alive, the tributes are adorned with a mask that has a spout attached at the mouth, this spout protrudes through the earth and acts as an air hose and nutrient funnel. The master of ceremony forces a poisonous liquor into the mouth tube, feeding the rotting tribute untold horrors. After a period of time the tributes die and are reborn in the image of their master, covered with various types of decaying matter. Imbued with new unholy powers, the new Thralls rise out of the earth to fulfill their master's plan to destroy all living creatures, converting them into an undead hive mind.
