The Seed
This civilization thing might be a little overrated. The moves and countermoves may be a little too much for me to handle. I have always been able to reason or figure my way through a situation and come out having a good handle on everything and everyone involved but events seem to be slipping through my grasp. The power of death seems to be growing stronger within the party and it is becoming harder and harder to channel that into new growth and blooming life.
I came across a very special seed and didn't realize it at first, but its magical power has been calling out to me and I have finally learned its nature. It sprouts a magical protective oak among many other possible outcomes. I think I upset Akora when I planted it though because she did not come home last night.
I was beginning to question the motivations of the men in our group, it appeared at first that their hearts were not actually behind the quest that they had agreed to. They seemed to come around with a gentle reminder though. I do not like people who don't follow through with verbal contracts. One strike Davwyn... one strike...
First Impressions On Raifords Keep
My first impression of the city was of a large wall keeping innocent citizens out when they are in the greatest need. This is a city based on an unsolicited hierarchy that must be broken. I will work ceaselessly to break the structure of this city to create an equal and inclusive society that protects the citizens of the region.
Meeting Yibiyru
I think I have made great strides against the stigma on magic in Buckelwell. At least a few people are coming around to recognize that it wasn't entirely my fault. I think I can make a real difference in how magic users are perceived in Kurnst but I cant do it alone. I need friends, connections, resources. These guys seem great so far but I don't think they really understand me. I can't decide if they like me or tolerate me sometimes and I'm pretty sure Davwyn only thinks with his crotch... men... At least they let me be around, but I have to be careful not to open up too quickly. I can't be burned again.
This Yibiyru demon seems to be onto something. Almost like my antithesis. The death she brings paves the way for life like a wildfire triggers the sprouting of a sapling. I have some thinking to do about this, there may be a way for me to weave this concept into my own magic to achieve balance. Clearly for the cause of good, death to the weeds of the world can pave the way for new growth of flowers and trees.

Darla's Beginnings
Darla grew up in a small village called Buckelwell and comes from a family of farmers. As a young girl she was gifted with the ability to use magic. There are rumors to this day what caused it, some say she came across forest sprites who granted her this ability because they believed she was a kind and gentle girl, others claim a witch tried to curse her and it went horribly awry. Regardless of the circumstances, she was a young mage with no teacher or mentor to develop her skills.
At the age of seven, she began to naturally develop her skills and through a natural intuition she began to learn and cast simple spells. Unfortunately this untamed magical ability caused multiple successive mishaps that led to the townsfolk holding a meeting and declaring her banished unless her parents could bridle her witchlike abilities within seven days.
This worked, the prospect of being thrown out of her home helped her temper and hide her abilities for a long time. Until one day, she was playing in the fields with her sister Carla when they were attacked by a wolf. With Carla and Darla's lives on the line, she unleashed the entire tamped down power she had been concealing in one massive blast of energy. Although this drove away the wolf, it also started a significant brushfire which quickly consumed the whole field.
Unfortunately the fire turned out to be uncontrollable, as it was the harvest season in Buckwell and the fields were rather dry. In their attempts to tame the blaze, Darla's father and sister were both killed and most of the town was destroyed forcing Darla to flee the area.
Darla now lives in isolation in the forest, mastering the flame that is her magical spirit and tending to the nature around her in hope that behind the scenes, she might be able to offset the wrongs she has done.
