Province of Hinterland

The province of Hinterlund is situated in the northern part of the realm of Solamnia. Hinterlund is bordered by Nightlund and the Plains of Solamnia to the south, the Northern Wastes to the north, and the province of Palanthas in the west.
Verdant grasslands cover the majority of Hinterlund, although the grasses die off to the north as they approach the Northern Wastes. The capital of Hinterlund is the city of Maelgoth, which is located in the southern central part of the province, along the Vingaard River.
