Forest Master

The Forestmaster is a unicorn that lives in Darken Wood. She is said to live in the Unicorn Grove and is the leader of all the creatures of Darken Wood including the Centaurs that live there and pegasi. The Forestmaster is known to have great wisdom, a deep voice, silver fur covering her body, a single ivory horn comes out of her head, and is is said to be as old as the forest.
Age of Dreams :
In the earlier ages of Krynn, the Forestmaster was the master of the deep wooded realm of Mithranhana and was served by the Keeper of the Forest. She communicated with the spirits of the forest, and always acted in the interest of the land and the animals. In 2193 PC, she showed herself to Kith-Kanan, to enlist his aid in driving out the human interlopers in the forest.
War of the Lance :
During the great War of the Lance, she had her centaurs capture the Heroes of the Lance when they wandered into Darken Wood. She met with the Heroes and listened to their story of the war coming to her lands. She allows the Heroes to leave to continue on with their journey and asks her pegasi to take them to Xak Tsaroth.

Why do you want to see us?

“Some days ago, a great and glorious being came among us. He held great wisdom and power rare in the land today. He foretold your coming and left you a message: ‘You must fly straight away across the Eastwall Mountains. Within two days, you must be within Xak Tsaroth. There, if you prove worthy, you shall receive the greatest gift given to the world.’ Those were his very words — ‘the greatest gift given to the world’!”

What do you know of the Blue Crystal Staff?

“It is an item of great power, a relic of days most have long forgotten. Its secrets can be found in Xak Tsaroth and within the hearts of those who remember.”

Why do you carry such sadness?

“Shortly, a terrible evil will descend upon us and destroy my domain. I have seen it.”

Do you know anything about dragonmen or the evil that people say is approaching?

“I know very little about what goes on beyond my forest’s borders. I have seen that a great evil is coming, but I do not know its nature.”

Can you help us get to Xak Tsaroth?

“Yes. My friends”—he nods toward a group of pegasi that entered the glade without you noticing— "have extended an offer to transport you to the region nearby Xak Tsaroth."
