Pyrice Town

Pyrice is the larger and closer of the two towns located in the tundra. This town has reasonable communication with the rest of Kryalon, despite it being located much further away. The town thrives due to the magic of the inhabitants, being able to encourage crop growth and otherwise survive the harsh conditions of the tundra.

Demographics

There are a large number of elves, their innate magic helps their survival, but many other races live here. Most of the inhabitants have some degree of magic, or are otherwise able to survive in the cold conditions. The professions here also vary a lot, as the town has to be mostly self-sustaining.

Government

The town is governed by their council, which is lead by their elder. However, their health is deteriorating, so currently Professor Chionola is organising the council's affairs. The majority of positions on the council are appointed by vote, but the headteacher of the magic school is guaranteed a position if they want it.

Infrastructure

The town has fairly simple wooden houses, the streets are lined with raised braziers that are used to light and warm the town. Magic is also used to help keep these flames lit, even in the harshest of weather. There is also a small magic school, which is mainly used by locals as the rest of Kryalon tends to use Questhomi University as it is much closer. Enchantment services also draws in many customers from the rest of Kryalon due to the differing specialities of professors at the magic school here compared to those elsewhere.
