Ironbeard City
A small city south of Excabridge in the western forest of Kryalon. The city was founded due to its close proximity to Excabridge, the Aquastea River, and the forest to exploit the variety of natural resources available. The city is run by its craftsmen guild, which is lead by Erizo Neothane.
Demographics
The population is predominantly dwarves, but attracts anyone in a profession which uses the natural resources available. This includes carpenters, leatherworkers, fishermen, and farmers, but there is also significant stone and metal imported from Excabridge which supports masons and metalworkers. These people are also drawn by the annual Ironbeard Innovation competition, which is organised by the city's leader, who is a former winner of this competition.
Government
The leader here is elected by a vote, but those eligible to vote are the craftsmen on the city's guild. Many who run for the position are also members of the guild, which has resulted in some controversy amongst the population.
Industry & Trade
Ironbeard has a bustling market, which showcases the diversity of craftsmen living in the town. It also attracts both vendors and customers from nearby towns. The town trades resources such as stone and metals mainly with Excabridge, due to the scarcity of mines nearby.
Infrastructure
The city is somewhat smaller than Questhomi, it has most of its buildings made from wood, but the roads are cobbled and buildings such as the guildhall, are made of stone.
