The Frontier

The wild lands that the Holy One has been attempting to colonize for years. Here nature still rules a good part of the land, and most settlements here are outposts and small towns (a few cities have been erected at least) that are technically under the laws of His Grace, though most of them reject that idea. This is a land of freedom seekers, those looking to strike it rich in gold and the magic mines, outlaws, monsters and monster hunters. Here magic can be mined out of the ground in crystalized form and used for anything from extending life, magical experiments, powering machines and more. This crystal magic was mined out entirely in the lands of his grace, hence the colonization efforts, and its various uses in the empire have made it a highly sought after commodity. Even adventurers seek this crystal out as it is the building block for magically enhancing and creating unique magical weapons.
