The Ascension of the Holy One

After his death and subsequent reanimation due to the actions of the Fatebreakers, the Holy One has ascended to a divine power that is now no longer bound by death. A living god in every possible way, the Holy One was the only one powerful enough to hold his kingdom together in the face of the shattering. With his son smote and missing and every mortal kingdom ruined by the Shattering, the Holy One swept in as a guiding force against the tide of darkness. Many flocked to his banner out of fear, a lack of choice, or simple survival. As such, the cities and forces of the Holy One remain the most prominent religion in the world now and his inquisitors can be found all over, following in the foot steps of Samson the heroic inquisitor who tried to stop the Shattering. The Holy One has taken it upon himself to rewrite and change history, to wipe the ledgers clean and write a new world history. Many work against him, but his efforts to change the world are largely difficult to stop.
