Monsters in the Night

When the night falls the Empty Moon's baleful light is cast across the land, the monsters come out. Some resemble monsters of old, such as chimera or powerful animals. But others are truly monstrous creatures, things that defy knowledge and explanation. They are creatures of the night, empowered by the Empty Moon, drawn to the destruction of the world and all who live in it. So it is that frontier towns must fend off creatures and cities build great walls to hold them at bay. Travelers are recommended to keep their lights off at night, to hide and pray they survive to sunrise.
