Atva

A kingdom located on the border of the Stepps and the Northern lands of The Frontier, Atva is a single city kingdom that has stood for a little over two centuries. Ruled by the Von Gratius family, Atva has stood tall and expanded greatly in its time here. Consisting of one Major city surrounded by various small towns and farmlands, Atva is most connected with a miniature Markevia, where anyone can come and go. But deeper in the corrupt roots of the city can be seen. For a long time the peasants of the city have starved, with regular famine and economic crisis causing rampant poverty and death. A deep slum is built into the side of the city that seems to grow by the month and the middle class shrinks just as quickly. Police march up and down the streets to enforce curfew while the seedy underbelly of the city preys on its citizens with loan sharks and extortion prices. Within the city, the class structure of citizens is loose but noticeable. The lower class are exploited by loan sharks, criminals and the nobility into long hours, minimal pay, and constant stress. Middle class are barely better off, having the money to at least live in their own home or apartment, but cities hardships are still noticable. High class, the nobility, feast while exploiting their workers.
