Bairn's Hall

Throughout the history of Kruos following the Fuga, Brombek Bairn has had a legendary reputation for his strength of character. Known as a morally strong and fair man, to this day Bairn's name remains synonomous with good deeds and honesty. When the Izean Basin was settled by some of the original party that left Dalaein with Bairn they instilled in those ancient villages the same sense of honesty that they saw in their leader.   Centuries passed and the Izean Basin flourished with its fertile fields, plentiful fauna, and rich mines to the west. A descendent of one of the original explorer's of the basin decided to build a massive structure in his home town of Vildu to honor Brombek Bairn and his legendary reputation. This descendent was, unfortunately, blessed with more money than brains and spent 20 years building a monument to justice, without really deciding what purpose his building would serve, so by the time it was finished he had become somewhat of a laughingstock in Vildu and the surrounding towns. In order to save fave, the man decided to gift the building to the government of Izea as a monument to justice and a place where magistrates could adjudicate the highest crimes and smallest disputes with equal decorum. In order to ensure that his building would be seen as a triumph and not a punch line, prior to gifting it to Izea, he named it for Brombek Bairn for he knew that nobody would laugh at a building with that prestigous name.   The people can thank that misguided benefactor for, despite his folly, Bairn's Hall has become a symbol across Kruos as a place for justice and has given Izea a glowing reputation as a place for fairness and honesty.
