The humans of Vyaniah are a resilient and adaptive ethnic group, shaped by their unique environment and historical circumstances. Vyaniah is a planet characterized by a temperate to cold climate, currently experiencing a geological Ice Age, which has significantly influenced human development and societal structures.

Vyaniah's geography is dominated by a single primary equatorial continental mass, surrounded by expansive saline seas. The planet’s biosphere remains largely undeveloped, relying on specialized flora and fauna imported from off-world. Despite the cold climate, humans have adapted to thrive in various environments, from the frigid coastal areas to the industrialized urban centers.

During the time of the Badab War, Vyaniah's human population was still in its formative stages, struggling to establish a stable civilization amid the harsh environmental conditions. The ongoing Ice Age has led to challenges in agriculture and resource management, necessitating technological innovations and external support.

The largest urban settlement on Vyaniah is Caelian, which is rapidly evolving into a solar-type dispersed hive city. This sprawling metropolis serves as the economic and cultural hub for the planet. The political structure is headed by an Imperial Commander, a hereditary ruler supported by a Quorum of Magnates, drawn from the planet’s leading industrial clan families. This governance model combines tradition with a focus on industrial development, ensuring that Vyaniah maintains its independence under the Imperial Segmentum Ultima seal.
