History

The Kodrans started out as disparate clans feuding with the Makans and Steerians, and were often allied with the Seikans. However, the Siekans betrayed the alliance around 100 AR when Seikan King Mue Ne killed key Kodran royalty including the beloved unifier, Queen Xia. The Kodrans struck back, and in doing so strengthened as a national identity.   In the late 140s AR the Kodrans and Makans went to war with one another, in which they consistently fought into a stalemate. In the year 175 AR, a peace treaty was signed at Jianangan: ensuring everlasting peace between the two nations. Here, both sides conceded to each others' ability, and thus their mutual strength. In essence - they forged a defensive pact, along with Steeria. The peace treaty was henceforth named the Tri-pact Treaty.   Kodra officially unified under one banner as the Kingdom of Unified Kodra in 375 AR due to the diplomatic efforts of Kikasa's Daimyo Kawada Haida. He remains the longest-reigning Daimyo to date, and created a kingdom which flourished for a century.   In 452 AR, the Ietame dynasty led a coup against the reigning Daimyo Cira Haida and subsequently triggered a war with the Makan Empire, believing the new superpower needed to be taken down. In the ensuing war, Kodra decisively defeated a massive Makan army on the plains outside the City of Chuzhou, sending the Makan war machine back by at least 20 years. However, by 500 AR, Mako had recovered and led a string of decisive sieges which pressured Kodra into full annexation.
