History

While technically dating back to the 300s BR, the state of Tyros was never totally unified until 154 and placed under the rule of a single King. The people of Tyros mutually clashed with all of their neighbors, but the only rivalry occurred against the Kingdom of Slint.

Makan Contact

The Tyrosian control over the outer islands of the Theordian Sea was their strongest defense against invaders from the east. These defenses were put to the test in the 200s AR. Tyros became the first target of the Mako Empire after it had completed its conquest over its home Island of Tongiu. For the greater part of the century, Tyros and Mako were at war.   Without allies or any kind of support, Tyros eventually found itself out of resources to maintain its defenses, and so lost their island holdings by 220 AR. Mako made first landfall at the town of Mydonti soon after - just under 200 kilometers from the capital itself, but the Makans were quick to seek peace and end the war there.   To no one's surprise, the wars would begin again over a decade later, and in 277 AR Mako completed domination of Tyros. The walls of Tyros were demolished in an act of dominance.   Mydonti would go on to be improved to the Makan regional capital over all of Makan-controlled Hersinos.
