History

At first, Badon was a city founded by Ismian tribes. The identity of one belonging to Badon eventually superseded calling oneself Ismian. In 98 AR, Badon and surrounding tribes united into a confederacy in the face of the growing power of Bois to the west and Morosia to the east.
Badon then most famously defeated the Bois Confederacy and conquered it, forming a kingdom to maintain its new borders.

Makan Contact

Throughout the reign of the Makan Empire, Badon was the only Ismatian nation they encountered. Badon military efforts against the Makans proved futile, and the fate of the Kingdom lied entirely at their mercy. In 335, the Makans launched their final war against the Badon people and subjugated them into a semi-independent vassal to serve as a buffer between Morosian Ismia to the east.
