Independalism

Independalism is a cult of people against Shadow Beasts/TSBs and their usage. It is not so much of a religion as it is a true cult, and many people see independalists as terrorists.

Etymology

The term independalism came from the word independent, and was coined for the organization as they believe being independent of the beasts is true freedom.

Beliefs

A member of the Independalist movement rejects TSBs and their magics, thinking that Humans shouldn't have magic and are actively looking for a way to get rid of TSBs. Members of the Independalist movement also genuinely believe the TSB is a separate entity using the human race as a host and oftentimes see them as evil and/or vile creatures.

Practices

Independalists will often seek help from other members to destroy their TSB if they cannot do it themself. This oftentimes includes anything from self harm to amputation, or even purposefully separating from their TSB long enough for it to get destroyed and unable to reform. Independalists who still have their TSBs refuse to use them and will either never summon them or use Mythial constantly.
Besides getting rid of their TSBs, Independalists will often preach to others and attempt to get others in the movement, spreading the word of the dangers of shadow beasts and sharing stories (Most often out of context).
Someone who is scared of or rejects their TSB isn't necessarily a member of this movement, but they are generally targeted for recruitment.

History

Independalism is a more recent movement, only having popped up within the past couple centuries. It started off slow but has been gaining traction over the years and members are now found in every major city at least.
