Clan Niwa

The Niwa clan holds most of the land in Miyama Province, the position of shugo-daimyo of Miyama, and several of the shugodai posts. In addition, a number of the lesser family members hold jito positions on the largest shoen in Miyama. The Niwa family is the most powerful in Miyama. Its efforts are aimed at retaining that power and perhaps someday conquering their neighbors.
