Nama

Nama are spirits of Koru (as opposed to anath, spirits of dead mortals). They are manifestations of the desires of the mortal world that have gained varying degrees of sentience. In the first age they freely roamed the world. In the second age they were segregated into the Otherworld. With the breaking of the Pantheon and the weakening of the Nuarra, Nama have found there way back into the Mortal World. In regions of strong weakening (for example the Aedh peninsula and Tsekkani Archipelago) Nama are extremely common.   When Nama cross into the Mortal World, they must possess An. Sometimes they possess living beings. Other times they bind animate physical matter. Common subtypes of Nama are: Sitli (born of plants), Damu (born of stone), şaran (born of fire), and Aiyen (born of water).
