As the party departs from Frottst to head to Häff, they experience a mild earthquake and see smoke issuing from a cave. Upon approaching, they find it to be the lair of a dragon, whom Mester Evergreeneth befriends. Their unlikely friendship would continue, with many games of chess between the two.
