The Fated Faction travels to the nearby swamp, where they face Gea, who is but one of a coven of three green hags. The battle is long, and hard-fought. Fiena dies, but is resurrected by Toos. Kalpa seems to die, but after the battle, undergoes a transformation and emerges from death into a catatonic state.
