The Shard of Humility

The Shard of Humility is a unique item of great power. It was once part of an even more powerful artifact, and it is likely that if it were ever rejoined to the other Shards, it could reform that artifact - The Dragontablet of Da .

The Shard had been lost for some time and its location is unknown.

Besides Kīw Zuk, the only being who knows its location is the Wingéd One in the High Places, the title of an androsphinx named Antaxateles, who lives in the Sokinan Mountains.

History

The Shard of Humility was created when the Dragonshard of Da broke upon its creator's death in 661 LE. It disappeared from the ruins of Da's citadel in the eighth century of the Latter Era, and is lost to history ever since.

Significance

The Shard of Humility was once a portion of the Dragontablet of Da. If rejoined to the other three Shards, it is possible that the original dragontablet could be remade.

The Shard of Humility

Other

Legendary The Shard must be attuned before use. If combined with the other three shards, the four become a new artifact.

The Shard of Humility is one of four broken shards of the Dragontablet of Da. It is embued with a portion of her essence. Individually, it is a wonder, but combined with the rest of her Dragontablet, it becomes enormously powerful, as it carries a fragment of the power of an Ethereal Dragon.

Passive Effects

  • The attuned creature is immune to all spells and spell-like effects of the Enchantment school of magic
  • The attuned creature is immune to the Charmed condition
  • Andvantage on all Wisdom (Insight) checks
  • The attuned creature cannot be intimidated

Charges

The Shard of Humility can have up to a maximum of 12 charges. Charges regenerate at a rate of 1d12 per day, upt to the maximum. If the last charge is consumed, the Shard cannot regain charges for 1d20 days, at which time it begins regenerating charges as normal.

Powers Requiring Expendititure of Charges

  • The attuned character may expend six charges on their turn to sacrifice their full action, granting it to an ally they can see. The chosen ally gains the attuned character's full action, whether that consists of multiple attacks or other actions, which they add to their own action on their turn. The receiving ally may only take actions that they would otherwise have access to (i.g. a non-casting character doesn't get access to the attuned creature's spell list or spell slots).
