Personal history

Kravdan was a renowned defensive architect and an early supporter of the newly established Mastery. He was instrumental in transforming Schruichterta from a subterranean refuge into a fortified city-state capable of surviving surface incursions. He was appointed Marshal of the Defenses (later restyled Marshal of Holdgate) by the second Ving of the Mastery, Ving Harzun Ambervein. He designed the district as a military quarter and a symbol of the Mastery's permanence.

Kravdan oversaw the construction of the original bastion walls (now gone), the first Crucible Grounds, and a proto-form of the Hall of Vigor. His hammer, Skeldharn, is entombed in a warded reliquary at the foot of the Kvuur Stone and is said to vibrate faintly when war nears the gate.

He served as Marshal from 610 LE until 638 LE. Though retired during the Siege of Blackwake Flame, he joined the defenders as a militiaman, suffering a grievous wound, though he survived.
