Saint
Spell casters who draw their power from the Divine are referred to as Saints. As spell casting is rare (How Common Is Spellcasting? ) there is a difference between members of the clergy with spell casting ability and Saints who recieve spell casting from their gods.
Saints are generally the head of a large congregation and recieve special attention from even non-spell casting clergy as the gifted of their gods. Experienced clergy will of course understand they are merely gifted humans and not the avatar of their deity, but a junior clergy member that is a saint will get attention paid to them that other junior clergy never would.
Unlike members of the Arcane Conclave, Saints do not require years of study to achieve even basic spell casting ability. Deities chennel their divine power directly through the maelstrom to saints like a beam of light in the darkness giving a subconcious understanding to the recipient on how to access and manifest their abilities.
Saints are considered blessed by the followers of their chosen deities and a betrayal of the blessing is looked upon as one of the serious crimes someone can commit, indeed fallen Saints are the protagonists of many a fable in Kordoth and Ekeria at large.
