The Beautiful
Korres (From Ancient Mandran : Kor(Beauty) and Res (Land) )
This is the main inhabited Planet in the system. It is Tidally Locked to its star and has one medium Moon in a Non Coplanar Orbits.
Astronomically Korres Is noteworthy for two Major occurences.
1. Its orbit is excentric enough that throughout its 500 day orbital year , it experiences noticable shifts in temperature leading to a phenomenon of Warm and Cold Seasons .
2. The Further stronger star influences the year heavily and is responsible for the atmosphere not freezing. It seems to pass across the sky as seen from the planet
When the Sibling is in the same hemisphere as the main star it is warmer windier but also wetter on the sunward side, as the wind brings ocean water northwards. The opposite is true when the sibling is one the opposite side, the temperature gradient is lower and the winds weaker. As The Main star is Relatively small and weak, most of the sunward face of Korres is habitable, with the directly Subsolar region being desertified with little to no running water. Nearly all of the known civilisations exist on the Sunward face of the planet , and little is known about the areas in twilight and eternal night on the antisolar face of the planet. The oppositional kalendar is built on these orbital variations.
