House Alrose

"Neutral elves is like having an un-sharpened axe, neigh useless" -Jorgar, Zamdeal Priest of Clan Firebeard

Neutral ground for the three elven thrones, this family house of elves has ownership of only one city, Shorest Landing. Intended to act as intermediary for non-elves and elves a like, this family is the first to see for resolving conflict. The city they rule is the largest port city of the elves, and arguably the world.

Structure

The head patron of House Alrose is the ruler of Shorest Landing, and the prime intermediary for all meetings between the three other factions of elves.  Their district is on an island in the center of the city, and well represented by ambassadors of all three factions.  Their diplomatic status has lead them to be the intermediary for many other groups and races over time.  They even harbor the main guild hall of the Recollection, dwarves in search of knowledge and history.  House Alrose had recently pinned a new elf as the Elven Diplomat, which has not occurred for several hundred years.  The reason as to why is not fully known, but the who has spread rather quickly.

Assets

Though the least amount of land belongs to House Alrose, they control the largest port in the world.  Three massive docks from each sector of town, run by different races.  Shorest Landing is a hub of trade between Four Rivers, Abel, Skitri Isles, Shattered Sea, and Weavers.  Almost every morning ships pull into the docks to unload their cargo and pick up some for the return trip.  The vast amounts of vessels and trade leaves Shorest Landing with plenty of wealth and resources, concreting its position as a political power.  Their neutral stance has aided them, as no other faction has attempted any sort of overthrow due to threat of a combined reaction of the other factions.
