Hobbits

Non-Fey Species   Also known as halflings, these diminuitive folks are considered a type of human and have played their own role in human history. Just like humans, they are non-fey and struggle to connect with the forces of magic. They may be born directly from human beings and may give birth to humans themselves (autosomal dominant hobbit gene), though there are also some hobbit-specific neighborhoods in Sirom and villages in human nations.

Considered a type of human, most hobbit history is tied up in that of humanity. It is rumored that more hobbits tend to come from those living near areas of dark magic, but that has not been properly quantified.   In Sirom, some hobbit communities have befriended gnomish communities, and they sometimes communicate in Pig Elven.   See: Human
