Open sea harvest station

Somewhere in the sea, there is a building that resemblances the old docks, but build with stronger materials and a hint of magic. Nobody is sure were it is, and no one has find it during their usual tasks in the sea or while they are specifically looking for it.
It shouldn't be so hard to find: it was enormous, solid, and in an area were several important resources where found. For that reason some think that it fell apart, that maybe it wasn't as strong as history books say.

Purpose / Function

This structure was designed to allow the recollection of several sea products in a time when it was impossible to navigate the waters of Laku.

Alterations

At some point in the period when it was more useful, big sculptures of the leaders were added in it's highest places. For a long time, those images where the only part of the building that could be seen above the surface and people of that time would call it "the traders" or the "sculptures" and never think about the building.

A few years after it was abandoned, a team of ecologists visited the building to remove the elements that could contaminate the sea, making it look deteriorated. The plan was to dismantle it completely, but being so solid, it was more likely to cause trouble if they try to demolish it that if they let it be.

History

This building was one of the first measures implemented by the guild of All the Traders to produce enough for everyone in Laku. It was built with great difficult but faster than planned, thanks to everyone's collaboration.
It remained in use even after the water rose enough and the situation of Laku improved, but after a while it would have required to develop a second structure, higher and stronger, to operate with the new sea's level. It wasn't sustainable and the installations were abandoned.
Around the end of the 2nd Ka BD, or early of the next millennium, the sculptures disappeared under the water of the sea. When they paid attention to that fact, nobody remembered the location or the last time they saw it.

When I joined the crew nobody used them as reference anymore, but they must have been there, right? I don't know, I never tried to see them, everybody knew that they were hard to see back then. That's why they stop using them, not because of the flags, the flags came later.
