Terra. The great Sapphire. Earth.
Home.
The cradle of humanity, Earth will forever be the crown jewel in our people's eyes, no matter how beautiful a garden world or rich an industrial world we find.
That does not mean we can sit idle on her great green surface, however. So we haven't.
Humanity stretched out to the stars, founding colonies and prospering amongst the Milky Way's bounty. Ruled over by the Star-Kingdoms and their great houses, we owe our prosperity, in large part, to their knights.
Massive war machines, piloted by masters of their craft, protect, destroy, serve, and enforce the will of the great houses.
For better or for worse.
Now, the frontier holds the attention of every Star Kingdom with the resources to look away from their own holdings. Fresh planets, rich in minerals and other materials simply wait for someone to claim them. New Wonders to be found, bringing prestige to those that discover them. And, if nothing else, the sense of adventure that has always driven humanity forward.   While the Lords and Ladies gather their houses, even the common man eyes the edge of known space hoping that striking it rich will drive them to the upper echelons of society. Who knows if it will work, but it won't stop them from trying.   The Knightly Orders have grown disgruntled in recent years, causing them as well to turn towards the outer edges of Civilized Space,
We have the Remnant Fleet flagship on scope and are commencing attack run.   This will be one hell of a highlight reel.
-Canis bomber pilot, recorded during the battle of Tremere 3

-And so I leap from what had to be the 30th story window, bullets pinging around me. The only thing that saved me from becoming a fine paste on the pavement was my Knight catching me on the way down.   Still broke most of my ribs, but by god that was exhilarating!
-Hoxidus Pilot, recounting his most well remembered exploits.
I don't think I'll ever get used to the sight of Vauzuno just after a Shock jump.   Those emerald seas lit up amongst the black carpet of the void.   Ain't no better view of home.
-Captain Anton Wauter, cargoship pilot.
