Vokar'thul, Thundering Mother of the Wildlands

Vokar’thul, known commonly by her title, the Thundering Mother of the Wildlands, is a fierce guardian of nature. She herself is a massive drake, bearing aspects of all the various species. Despite her children being mostly land or sea bound, she is capable of flight, traversing any terrain with ease. It is rumored she makes her home in the jungles of Xithinthax, where her presence encourages the lush growth of the foliage.   Some believe that Vokar’thul created the Sizarik people. Those who don’t revere the elemental lords, often revere her as their creator, and follow her as their Mother. They view wild drakes as a pure expression of her spirit and thus afford them with the utmost respect. Those who devote themselves to her fully are often wielders of druidic powers, protecting nature much in the same way. In spring, her devotees celebrate Zakrathiss, a holiday celebrating life after the harsh winter where they give thanks and praise through great feasts and song as well as offerings of food left in the wilds.   To her devoted followers, Vokar’thul is the fierce mother, expecting them to always give their best. As a Primal Spirit, her purpose is to continue the guardianship over the natural order of Arawyn. And as a predator, her followers take in kind to fulfill such a role in the natural cycle. Those who serve the Thundering Mother embody the idea of facing threats with tooth and claw, fighting ferociously to act according to her nature.
