The Inverted Tower

In an abandoned and overgrown farmstead forty minutes from Travance Proper there is an ancient cellar door that leads down into an ancient tower that goes fifty stories below the surface. The Tower was once known as the Abestine Tower in ancient History and locked away on the fiftieth floor exists a creature trapped known as Amatoth, a creature that weaves a powerful void web that unmakes everything it touches.  Each level of the tower has a locked door with a number on it. Scattered throughout the world are keys that open those doors, and the mysteries that lie behind them are countless. The further down the tower one gets the hard and harder it gets to concentrate and function. Travance and the Heroes within are the worlds shield against the forces of evil attempting to release Amatoth.
