The Hunter's Academy

The Hunter's Academy is home to all the great monster hunter houses of the Kingdom of Kormyre, and most notable run and managed by the three most prominent and powerful houses: The demon hunting Belmonts, the vampire hunting Von Ritters, and the lycanthrope hunting Reigns.   The Academy is almost a city unto itself with the grand halls associated with each hunter house making their home and training ground in the academy. The most interesting facet about this place is that the whole of it was carved out of the Raven's Perch Cliffs which separate the baronies of Vorlorne and Ravenhurst. The academy functions primarily off hiring out jobs and taking on monsters to help fund their schools alongside keep the Academy in working order. New houses come and go, and getting a foothold with an established house is somewhat of a daunting process.   Of the many houses that have formed, there are a few of note who have secured their own space within the Academy, such as House De'Catra, who hunt mummies; House Logarius, who hunt witches; House Méran, who hunt harpies; House Vellatras, who hunt wights; House Narendier, who hunt curses; House Erevin, who hunt elementals and House Nirakaar who hunts Ghosts.   Business tends to be a bit cut-throat between and competitive between house members working in the same territories, but rarely turns to anything beyond shouting matches and the occasional barroom scuffle.
