Appearance:

Nefra stands tall and imposing, at about six and a half feet in height. Her skin is a pale white, almost ashen, and seems to glow with a faint blue light. Her hair is long and black, with blue streaks running through it. She wears it in a loose braid that hangs down her back, and it seems to move and sway of its own accord, as if it has a life of its own.   Her eyes are a piercing blue, and seem to be able to see right through a person's soul. She has sharp, angular features, with high cheekbones and a strong jawline. Her lips are full and dark, and seem to be perpetually curled in a faint, almost mocking smile.   She wears a suit of armor made of blackened steel, etched with intricate patterns of blue and silver. Her armor is adorned with spikes and chains, and seems to merge seamlessly with her body. She wields a war scythe, a deadly weapon with a curved blade and a sharp point on the end of a long pole. The blade and pole are also made of blackened steel, with the same blue and silver etchings as her armor.   Despite her fearsome appearance, there is a certain grace and elegance to Nefra's movements. She seems to glide effortlessly across the ground, and her scythe moves with deadly precision. Her voice is smooth and commanding and she carries herself with an air of confidence and authority.

Background:

Nefra, once a mortal healer from the city of Nethria named Serafina Khemara, was known for her ability to ease the suffering of the dying. However, when a plague swept through the land, she was unable to save her own family. Overcome with grief and desperation, she turned to dark magic to try and bring them back to life.   Nefra's magic succeeded, but at a terrible cost. Her family were resurrected as undead abominations, twisted and corrupted by the dark magic that had brought them back. Nefra, horrified by what she had done, found that she could not bear to be separated from her loved ones once again. She joined them in death and became a powerful creature of the night.   As time passed, Nefra's power grew, and she became known as the Lady of the Underworld. She ruled over a dark kingdom in the depths of Valthoria, where the souls of the dead were forced to serve her and her family. However, the magical crown that she wore slowly began to corrupt her, feeding on her grief and despair and turning her into a more ruthless and cruel ruler.   Eventually, Nefra's power became so great that it drew the attention of the gods. In a battle against the divine forces, Nefra was struck down and killed. However, the power of the crown was so strong that it allowed her to rise again as the ruler of a portion of Nulheim, the realm of the dead. There, she continues to expand her power and influence, offering the souls of the dead a chance to serve her in exchange for protection and purpose. However, those who cross her or resist her, will face the full fury of her war scythe and her undead minions.

When Serafina took up the Crown of Taranthor, she also took on a new name to match her new identity. She chose the name "Nefra" because it means "beauty" in the language of the ancient Valthorians. She believed that her new undead form, despite its twisted and corrupted appearance, was still beautiful in its own way. The name Serafina Khemara was left behind with her mortal life and was never used again.
