Ikethi
The Ikethi are the mortals chosen by the Ibori of The Veil Court to act as the interpreters of their voices. Since most Ibori are beyond true mortal comprehension, they choose an Ikethi to translate for them. The Ikethi are also charged with the responsiblity of acting on behalf of the Ibori. Many Ikethi find themselves depicted in temples and religious text so mortals can put a face to the divine power they represent. In the judgement unclaimed mortals must face when they die, the Ikethi act not only as translators, but also as the beginning council, given their experience as former mortals.
