Amaz

The grand architect of Idra, Amaz was originally one of the construction workers forced into the service of the Angels when they seized the mountain. Once Idra and her warriors liberated everyone, she was the one who spoke up, believing that with all of the newly freed workers, the hundreds of soldiers, and all the people across the continent seeking refuge, it was only a matter of time before news about this victory spread, and people would seek this place out. So, rather than try and move nearly a thousand people, they could instead build a safe haven here, and plan ahead so that the new place could not only house everyone, but also be defensible in case of more attacks.
As a Speaker of Asenath and a spellcrafter, Amaz was especially unique in her time. With her intellect she devised new tools for construction, as well as improved architectural designs of early civilizations. With the blessings of Asenath, she was able to see where and how to best secure the safe haven. Nowhere is that more prominent than in the circular design structure of the buildings, as well as the city itself, being that circles are connected to Asenath.
Amaz later married one of Idra's soldiers and together they constructed a nice estate for themselves on the outskirts of the Seaside Circle, where Amaz spent the rest of her life painting and raising a beautiful family. She is celebrated as one of the 5 great founders of Idra, despite being the only one who did not fight in the original or ongoing battles.
Once she had her fifth grandchild, they adopted the growing local idea of surnames, used to keep better records, as well as to make social interactions less confusing in the event that people had similar or the same name. So, in respect to her, they adopted the last name "Amazu"
She's also one of the earliest recorded "trans" people, her desired physical form being the gift given to her when she became one of Asenath's chosen. One joke among the people of Idra is that she designed the city to pay for her transformation, a joke she found hilarious and often agreed with.
